General Questions
How do we work together?
Contact us – we’re thrilled to meet you! Start off by submitting the contact form and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can. We’ll step through your event, check our calendar for availability, and provide a contract with general information and an estimate. For event calligraphy, we do require a small deposit ($100) to reserve the space in our schedule. If the event is within 3 weeks, we do require 50% to hold the spot.
When should I book?
If you’re looking for custom calligraphy and design work, the sooner the better! Our schedule fills up quickly. Please keep in mind that the turnaround times vary by project.
How did you get started?
I started working with calligraphy over six years ago. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been working on one project or another – creating and designing through a variety of media.
I don’t live in the DMV (DC, Maryland or Virginia) area, will this be an issue?
Never! We have worked with clients from California to New Hampshire, Michigan to Florida. The majority of our communication will be through email and our contracts are submitted digitally.
Product & Service Questions
How do I reserve your services?
Contact us through our form. While submitting a form does not ensure reservation, it starts the process of working together. Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll confirm availability in our calendar. From there, we’ll go over the products and services, provide a contract and deposit through our invoicing system. Your space will be reserved once the deposit has been received.
I have a different style in mind, would you do custom work?
If you’ve taken a look at our styles, but want something a little different – YES, but within limit! Since calligraphy is such a personal art, each artist has their own style. While we cannot and will not copy someone else’s work, we pride ourselves on flexibility and creativity. Please send us a sample of the style you might have in mind, and we’ll go from there.
